This page provides a simple gallery of photographs (and a few relevant plans) of Hadrian’s Wall in a set on Flickr which are being made available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share alike license and that means that they can be freely used for non-profit-making purposes. They constitute an informal attempt to record the monument with no pretence at artistic achievement, merely documentation of what can be seen today.

Certain parts of the Wall are favoured more readily by photographers and there are one or two very well known visual clich├ęs, such as the view eastwards from just west of Milecastle 37. Nevertheless, there is much to see along the line of the Wall that is simply spectacular, and these images will hopefully encourage you to visit it to see for yourself or, perhaps, serve to remind you of a visit there.
